A whole chicken is usually cut up into these pieces:

Two breasts (white meat)

Two wings (dark meat)

Two drumsticks (dark meat)

and two thighs (dark meat)

So eight pieces and a carcass or back.

So your eight guests could each get a piece of chicken assuming they were not too picky about the piece they ate. And the real hungry guy could get the back too.

Personally, I'd take half a breast and the carcass and make chicken soup and have another whole meal for everybody.

There is no scientific way, like for other animals but you can ether buy a already known male or female or chickens that are the breed sex-link are born with marking that can tell you but the easiest way is too see if the chicken is aggressive and has a large waddle and comb on their head that usually means their a roster

Guineas love to roost up high. If housed indoors, they prefer to roost as high as possible, If outdoors, they often roost high in the trees and become dinner to owls and other predators.

Yes, but can only be sure of the difference by listening to their calls. Can't really do it from a photo. The female (hen) goes 'buck-wheat, buck-wheat', as its unique call which males (cocks) can't do, but both birds can do another one, which is 'chi, chi chi'. For females this is an alert call, males a general call. Both can also do a trill but they do the same thing so don't worry about that.

Yes, you can cross breed chickens and most of the time, we can't stop ours from cross breeding anyway as they all run around as a flock. The results mean they will not sell for very much but some can look absaloubtley gorgeous!

The last answer was great, don't get me wrong, but maybe i could help too. I had three guinea pigs that i loved truly and that live to a fantastic age of 8, so im quite experienced. You need to clean them out every week, and bed their cage with sawdust or wood shavings, and in the bed area: hay or straw. buy them some guinea pig food from your local pet store and feed them every day. Note: Get rid of their old food from the day before. Change their water every other day averagely. In the winter they will not drink much, but will still need water, so make sure it doesn't freeze and that they are not cold, because my friends piglet died in the cold. also in the summer they will need more water than usual, so give them plenty to keep them hydrated. also, if the weather is warm, make sure they have a safe area to Rome around grassy areas, which will make them happy. Also make sure they are not on their own, and that they have a playmate (another guinea pig, preferably of the same gender) because i have worked all my life with guinea pigs and one thing i do know is that they live longer if they have a companion. Guinea fowl do not migrate

They eat standard Chicken feed, berries and bugs too..all available at IFAs or those places...so YES, guineas eat bird seed happily.

Guinea fowl are almost certainly kosher, and there is documented evidence that they were eaten by Jews in the recent past. But in order for them to continue to be eaten, written evidence is not enough; a living tradition must be found, i.e. a witness who has personal knowledge of guinea fowl being slaughtered kosher must look at a bird and testify that this is the same species he knows to be kosher. Drs Ari Greenspan and Ari Zivitovsky have been searching for such testimony among older slaughterers from different Jewish communities. I don't know how much success they've had.

Guinea Fowl live for about 10 to 22 years of age.

Hens will lay eggs around 5-6 months of age depending on the breed. If you want them fertilized you will need a rooster, although having a rooster is not essential for having eggs (they sure are entertaining though!).

Some breeds are slow to mature and will not start to lay before 7 to 9 months.
