This question got cut off mid-sentence. The widest strips would be either 43" or 59" (with gain) or 36" cross grain. Surely, that isn't the question. In my experience there is always wasted fabric, because I can not cut perfectly. Play with the equations below for various width strips, to maximize what you need.
A) If you want ONE strip, cross-grain (that is selvage-to-selvage), the width on the bolt will be the length of your strip. Usually people trim off the selvage, so I'd say 43" (for 44-45" bolt), or <59" (for 60" bolt).
B) If you want ONE strip, with grain (that is running along the selvage), it will be the same length as the length of fabric you purchase. 36" for one yard, 72" for 2 yards.
C) If you want several strips, cross-grain, divide the inches you bought by the width of the strip (if you cut very accurately), to get the number of strips. 1 yd = 36" divided by 2" strips = 18 strips (17 if you are less accurate.) 17 strips times 43"/strip, less seem allowance to join them ... (17*43)-8 = 723" long.
D) If you want several strips, with grain, divide the inches in width of your fabric by the width of your strips to get the number of strips. 44-45" width fabric (43" trimmed) divided by 2" strips = 21. (half strips don't count!) 21 strips times 36" (per yard), less seem allowance to join them. (21*36)-10 = 746" long.
Fabric projects are hemmed to finish the edge. Without a hem, the edge of a woven fabric can fray or unravel. When the fabric is hemmed (either by folding under the fabric, or by using a serger), the edge of the fabric is reinforced and prevented from fraying.
To remove feviquick mark from the fabric without damaging the fabric you will have to let it dry first before soaking the fabric and wash it gently.
A "knit" fabric will stretch, either side to side and/or up to down, but a "woven" fabric will not stretch.
The fabric is not taut, it has some natural give and flexibility. Taut fabric would be stretched tightly without any slack or wrinkles.
Wash again without fabric softener seems to work.
You need to know the linear density of the fabric. Without that you cannot do anything.
Fleece fabric is a fabric used to make hats. * A fabric with a thick, heavy surface resembling sheep's wool. It may be a pile or napped fabric of either woven or knit construction. * Typically a brushed, knitted, polyester fabric with relatively high pile.
yes, you can! a fabric softener makes the fabric softer, and decreases wrinkling, as well as inhibiting static buildup,or static cling. but it is not necessary to use fabric softener if the aforementioned issues do not bother you(wrinkles, static).
When the fabric stores receive the fabric on the bolt, the fabric is wrapped right side in. To show the true color and texture of the fabric the employees must take the fabric and drape it over the bolt.
Remnant fabric is fabric leftover or recycled

natural fabric a sobs more water the synthetic fabric. natural fabric is natural plants. synthetic fabric is man made.
