There isn't one unfortunately,at least that's what the dealer told me. I discovered this when the battery in mine went dead and i couldn't de-activate it for the tow truck driver. If you do not have the keyless entry button you can still open the Jeep without the alarm going off my doing this
put the key in the door, turn it LEFT, RIGHT then LEFT again, this de-activates the alarm and unlocks your door.
when you lock the door it will activate, you will see a light on the dashboard flash.
i need to disable jeep factory alarm 1997 cherokee
no
The factory alarm can not be disabled, only repaired if malfunctioning.
The factory alarm is reset by unlocking the doors with a key or remote.
usually the factory alarm
it could be the factory alarm system
replace the remote
There is a plug in "black box" under your dash that can be unplugged to totally disable the alarm system. The remote clicker should still work but the factory alarm will not. Nothing else will be affected. You'll have to get a flashlight and look under there but the box in question does have a sticker on it that clearly says "alarm/security" on it.
on my 1993 jeep GCL i removed fuse 6 and 7 from the fuse box to disable my alarm i hope this helps
the factory alarm is set
You can not. The "alarm" is an integral part of at least three computers on the Jeep. The pcm (engine), bcm (body functions), and the skim (chip key system).
