Paul Revere once made a silver chain for a pet squirrel. The picture of the owner is in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Without Paul Revere we would probably still be at war with the British. (And that's more than two centuries of war!)

In 1773 he was at the Boston Tea Party.

He was a leader in the American Revolutionary War.

1. He was an American silversmith and a patriot in the American Revolution.

2. Born December 1734 and died May 10th 1818 at the age of 83.

3. He was the son of a French Huguenot father called Apollos Rivoire and a Boston mother. Revere had numerous siblings with whom he appears to have been not particularly close.

4. Revere is remembered today for his role as a night-time messenger on horseback just before the battles of Lexington and Concord.

5. His famous "Midnight Ride" occurred on the night of April 18/April 19, 1775.

6. In Reveres' late years, he became interested in metal work beyond silver and gold, opening his own store.
