∙ 14y agoAlcock and Brown ( Two RAF pilots) l9l9. craft used a Vickers Vimy ( Vimy was a battle site in World War I. As this was a crew-served craft, it did not get all the media attention of the solo flight of Lindbergh in l927. There were a good many both airplane and airship (zeppelin, blimp etc) Transatlantic flights prior to Lindy and a book has been written on the theme.

All 3 ships, only moved people, and did not serve as cargo liners.
