Well, the Major ones would obviously be things like World War 1 (1914-1918, though i believe the U.S didn't enter until 1917), World War 2 (1939-1945, though the US didnt enter until 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbour), The Korean War (1950-53, Vietnam (start date is argued as the US had been invovled sine 1949, though some say 1963-1973), and Operation Desert Storm (The Gulf War, 1990-91)

They also participated in smaller wars, like;

Spanish American War? I don't remember when it ended, but i believe it started in 1898. I don't believe the U.S fought in the Boer War though, in South Africa.

the Mexican Civil War (1917?) Not really fighting, but the were Mexican incursions in U.S Territory which led to fighing.
