Well, the Major ones would obviously be things like World War 1 (1914-1918, though i believe the U.S didn't enter until 1917), World War 2 (1939-1945, though the US didnt enter until 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbour), The Korean War (1950-53, Vietnam (start date is argued as the US had been invovled sine 1949, though some say 1963-1973), and Operation Desert Storm (The Gulf War, 1990-91)
