Cut out bad section- cleax flux couplings and piping and resolder using lead free AWWA /ASSE approved alloy
There are many ways to fix a burst pipe, if you are experienced in soldering you could re round the pipe closing the burst portion and solder the cracked section, or simply cut the burst section out and solder in a new piece withe two couplings. For the less experienced I would recommend cutting the pipe and using a shark bite repair fitting, it comes with detailed instructions and is made just for the situation you described
If it's a green corroded pipe then it's old copper. -You can't fix it. Replace all the length of corroded pipe with PEX and a union at each end
if it is a slow drip or sepage, it will make, @ particles in the water will fix it, if it is a steady drip then you will have to take it apart and wrap the pipe fitting with teflon tape, or use a pipe sealer on the threads,
Use a pipe cutter to cut the connector about two inches away on all sides. Use a shark pipe connector to replace the copper T-connection with aCPVC connection.
You shouldn't do this. Where verdigris is thickest is where your copper pipe is going to soon have a pinhole leak. If you paint it, it's much harder to fix in emergency.
A copper pipe is a conductor :) x
I had a water pipe burst in my kitchen, so I called a plumber. He wasn't very good he burst another pipe.
I am sorry, but can you PLEASE rephrase your question? Can WHAT be used for copper pipe? When? How? Why?
yes any pipe will
Grooved method? Threads on the end of the pipe? There is no tube or pipe in copper with threads. You can end a copper pipe with a connection that is threaded to accept steel pipe.
Taking far too long to do a simple job is poor service.Requesting a plumber to fix a burst pipe, he turns off the water supply then takes 10 days to return and mend the pipe, that is poor service.
It is very easy to damage any copper pipe.
