No, you cannot replace a faulty Ford Sport Trac cluster with a cluster from the 2005 Explorer.
You have to take out the cluster and there is a single bulb in there that you replace not real hard
I paid $537 in 2012.
That's a job for a professional, if it's not done properly a person can get injured.
I was looking at the ( 2001 ) Ford Explorer Sport Trac Owner Guide and it shows there is an ( O/D OFF ) light in your gauge cluster when the ( overdrive ) is switched off by using the switch on the end of your automatic transmission gear selector
The fuse for your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport is similar to that of the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport.
ford will do it because there is a recall on this item
If the speedometer and odometer are not working it may be a faulty VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) located on the tail end of the transmission. If only the speedometer is not working it is probably in the cluster and would require replacing the cluster as one unit with a new, rebuilt or used cluster.
A Ford Explorer Sport is a 2 door model, while the Explorer Sport Trac is a 4 door model with a small pickup bed.
You don't try to unclog it you just replace it with a new one.
