The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank on a 96 Caprice. Unbolt the two straps lower using a jack (do not lower too far without disconnecting the fuel lines and unplug the wiring connector) lower completely remove the six small bolts from the sending unit. Remove the sending unit replace the pump and a new screen filter reverse the process and your good to go!
