i have a 1984 k-5 blazer with a carberated fuel injected engine block. i have installed an electric fuel pump (inline type) in the location of the original inline fuel filter. truck will run for short time 10-15 min.before several simptoms occure, fuel starvation,presure in fuel tank,bubbles in fuel filter and eventualy there is no fuel supply even though pump is running.there is a smaller line (1/4 in.) in the aprox. location of where i have installed the pump, that leads to the charcoal canister that has been disconected and pluged off as well as all the outlets on the canister. tank cap is vented, but am i gettingsome form of vapor lock?

The fuel pump on the 84 3.8 v6 regal is mounted on the front driver side of the motor, behind the water pump, between the power steering and pollution pump. Removing pumps and brackets may be required.
