i have a 1984 k-5 blazer with a carberated fuel injected engine block. i have installed an electric fuel pump (inline type) in the location of the original inline fuel filter. truck will run for short time 10-15 min.before several simptoms occure, fuel starvation, presure in fuel tank, bubbles in fuel filter and eventualy there is no fuel supply even though pump is running.there is a smaller line (1/4 in.) in the aprox. location of where i have installed the pump, that leads to the charcoal canister that has been disconected and pluged off as well as all the outlets on the canister. tank cap is vented, but am i gettingsome form of vapor lock?

the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle :)
You would have to have the engine and transmission wiring harness and fuel pump harness. And you would have to install an electric fuel pump that will pump No lower then 9 LBS. and NO higher then 13 LBS. in the fuel tank. You will also have to get and install a ECM / ENGINE CONTROL MODULE / COMPUTER IN THE TRUCK. Basically you will need alll the ELECTRONICS FROM the 1994 and install all of it in the 85 truck and you will have a NICE ride. GOOD LUCK
You must remove the fuel tank , the fuel pump is located inside the tank.
