diesel and gasoline engines
The EDC or electronic diesel control system monitors and controls the rate of fuel injected into the CRDi in late model diesel engines. It makes diesel engines operate more efficiently.
There is also a great tutorial video on http://sageenergy.ca/learning-centre-tools/online-operator-training/ which explains the process in detail.Internal combustion engines can be made to work on natural gas as on gasoline or diesel. Then it is just connected to a compressor.
The auto combustion pressure for a diesel engine is 580 psi. This is compared to the 200 psi of the gas powered engine.
As you know, the piston in the Diesel engine compresses the air in the cylinder so that it gets extremely hot. Fuel is then injected directly into the cylinder where it ignites and causes the power stroke. Because the Diesel engine operates at very high compression ratios it has to be very strong, and therefore heavy. The injector that squirts fuel into the cylinder has to be both strong and very precise in order to force a precise amount of fuel into the cylinder. For these reasons, Diesel engines tend to be heavier than petrol engines, and more expensive because of the very precise engineering required in manufacturing the injectors. So they are not practical for fairly inexpensive 2 wheel vehicles.
Mazda cars require gas for their engines, not diesel. They also have hybrid vehicles, which run on both electricity and gas, but not diesel.
Are diesel engines better than gas engines is sort of a yes and no question. Diesel engines generally get better fuel mileage and last longer overall. But, gas engines are easier to maintain on your own and gasoline is much more readily available than diesel fuel is on the whole.
Yeah diesel is a gas or they whouldnt let u put it in to ur gas tank. R u sttupid.actually diesel is a type of fuel used with engines that are made for diesel fuel. but yes it is a FUEL the same as Gasoline.Diesel is a liquid.
no i dont think you can use diesel fuel injector cleaner in gas engines
Yes, car engines can be diesel or gas. Some models of cars are available with either type. Gas is more widespread but there are a few VW cars run on diesel. You can't hear them much but they do have diesel vehicles available.
Gas
Gas engines use 10w30 diesel uses 15w40
That depends on what your engine is. It'll be different for gas and diesel engines.
Yes, both fire and Paramedic units run diesel engines. Others are powered by gasoline or even compressed gas.
The gas engines use 10W30. The diesel engine uses 15W40.
Gas engines use 10w30 Diesel uses 15w40
They dont, diesel engines are generally more reliable than gas engines, and alot simpler due to the fact that the entire ignition system found in gas-powered engines is deleted entirely from the diesel equation. (Diesel engines don't have spark plugs, they rely on compression to ignite the fuel, meaning: they sqeeze the diesel fuel so much that it explodes)
