Problem:
If you have too little oil in the mixture, the piston and all the other parts in and around the combustion chamber will OVERHEAT. If you keep running, disaster will happen to your engine. Solution: 1. Add 1 1/2 oz of high quality 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas for your Harley. (Other gas engines usually take 1 oz per gallon). Use this amount of oil if your engine has already been broken in from rebuild. 2. If you have a newly rebuilt engine, double that (3 oz per gallon) for the first tank of gas. Then go to 1 1/2 oz per gallon after that. The rich oil content may foul the plug, but replacing the plug is a LOT cheaper than rebuilding the engine. 3. DO NOT use the cheap 2 cycle oil found in auto parts stores or a lot of the new 'super stores'. That stuff works fine in weed eaters and lawnmowers but it's not good enough for your Harley. Marina and motor cycle shops can usually have quality 2 cycle oil.
You can get a wiring diagram for a Harley Davidson golf cart at various Harley dealers. You can also find it in the owner's manual.
