  1. Solar
  2. Wind
  3. Biomass (Bio Fuel)
  4. Hydroelectric
  5. Geothermal
  6. Wave and Tidal

Interestingly enough the Sun is the source of the energy for wind, solar, dams, and the temperature gradient. And the gravity force from the moon is the source of energy for the tides.

Why is nonrenewable energy better than renewable energy?

Advantages to renewable: Non renewable energy is worst than renewable for a number of reasons, but some of the main ones being that: 1.) As renewable energy does not use a limited fuel, it is resistant to rising prices, so as the price of oil goes up, the price of renewable energy wont. 2.) Renewable energy will last until the sun dies, about 5 billion years, so even when oil, coal and natural gas have ran out, the sunlight, tides (controlled by the moon not sun though) and wind will still be available to harness energy from. 3.) Without a limited fuel, renewable energy is cheaper, just build the generater (wind turbine or hydroelectric dam etc.) and watch the money keep rolling in without much going out apart from the odd repair now and again. 4.) Without fuel, renewable energy is good for the environment and does not contribute to acid rain or global warming apart from when building the generater to start with. 5.) Renewable energy does not create any waste products 6.) Without needing fuel, renewable energy can be used in the most isolated of places without any fuel reserves and due to many of the other advantages, it is also good at helping provide energy to developing countries. Independance: renewable energy allows houses, villages or even countries become independent as they will not need to buy oil and fuel from other countries (whether this helps or metaphorically destroys the international economy probably depends on the situation however it certainly saves it's possessor money from having to buy fuel or electric from elsewhere)

Why have we relied on non renewable resources?

because it is inexhaustable till the death of Sun. Sun will vanish about 5 billion years from present. Don't worry. I will go to NASA and develop advance renewable energy. From Kamaljyoti Talukdar kamaljyoti.talukdar@gmail.com

What is one reason for the US to develop alternative energy sources?

unsteady politics in foreign countries

What is energy consumption?

It is using energy all the time, wasting it actually and not turning off lights or music at any time. Its using too much electric things and not spending time doing something else.Energy conservation:-1) Monitor Energy data and analyze to assess the Energy saving potential.2) Conduct Energy Audits and take up energy conservation projects.3) Integrate energy conservation principles for continual improvements in new development, new purchasing and expansion projects.4) Incorporate safety and environment protection in energy conservation initiatives.5) Ensure implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles in all processes and equipments to prevent energy losses.6) Implement promotional and motivational means such as suggestion schemes, small group activity and recognize the contribution.7) Develop competencies amongst employees and other stake holders (Suppliers, contractors, people, etc), and work closely with them for energy efficiency.8) Promote increased use of renewable energy and alternative fuel sources.9) Review and sustain implementation of Energy Cell Drive.10) Benchmark with industries' Energy Cell performance and represent the company in national and international forums.

What is the difference in energy output between a magnitude 5 earthquake and a magnitude 6 earthquake?

A magnitude 6 earthquake has 10 ten times the energy of a magnitude 5 earthquake.

What are 5 renewable energy sources other than solar energy?

The five sources of energy are solar, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric and fossil fuels. Nowadays there are five energy sources: fossil fuels, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric amd solar. The alternative sources are solar, wind and hydroelectric.

How long will renewable energy last?

A sustainable resource means it will last for ever, or for as long as humans renew the source.

Why is solar energy renewable?

Solar energy is renewable because the sun will not run out for 5 billion years. Therefore we will always be able to use solar energy.

What are 5 renewable energies?

Why are 5 main types of renewable energy renewable?

Solar Energy - energy from sun lightWind Energy - energy from the windGeothermal Energy - thermal energy stored in the earth.Biomass - biological material from living, or recently living organismsHydropower - energy generated by waterIf you want to read examples of these type of renewable energy, follow the link.

Is solar a nonrenewable resource or a renewable one?

Solar energy is a renewable energy since you can always get energy from the sun and it will never run out, hence the word renewable. Although the sun will explode in around 4 or 5 billion years, solar energy is virtually renewable and will be available for a long, long time.

5 energy sources used as alternative?

The answer depends on how to define alternative energy sources.Alternative energy sources may be typically and interchangeably for renewable energy sources. If this is the case then the five energy sources used as alternative are:Solar,Wind,Biomass, wave, andTidal alternate energy sourcesAlternative energy sources may be defined as sources of usable energy intended to replace fuel sources without undesired consequences of replaced fuels Typically excluding fossil fuels and nuclear energy). If this is the case then the five energy sources used as alternative are:Coal as alternative to wood,Petroleum as alternative to whale oil,Alcohol as alternative to fossil fuel,Coal gasification as alternative to expensive petroleum, andRenewable energy as alternative to nonrenewable energy. For more details it may be referred to:http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternative_energy
