If you have a two stroke engine and a four stroke engine that are the same size, the two stroke will have almost twice as much power as the four stroke.

Also, with a two stroke engine you never have to worry about changing the oil or making sure that there is oil in the engine.
2t engines are more simple and generally have more boost than a 4t motor of the same size. They're very fun to work on if you're into that too.

However, they're also a lot less reliable than a 4t, require frequent oil top ups, have lower economy and can seize if not calibrated correctly.

But then again, the maintenance is part of the 2t fun.

A 2-stroke engine requires adding 2-cycle oil with the gasoline.

Where can you buy 4 stroke fuel?

any gas station. its called gasoline There is such a thing as a 2-stroke or a 4-stroke engine, but the fuel is the same (gasoline). The difference being that the 4-stroke engine uses regular gasoline straight from the pump while on the 2-stroke engine you have to mix 2-cycle oil with the gasoline.

Does your lawn mower require 2 cycle engine oil?

If it is a 2-stroke engine, 2-cycle engine oil is added to the gasoline. If the engine is 4-stroke, regular 30W motor oil is used. To tell if your engine is 2-stroke or 4-stroke, look for a spout where oil is poured into the engine. If there is no spout, then the engine is 2-stroke and 2-cycle oil must be added to the gasoline.

What would happen if you just put gasoline in the 2 stroke engine?

By putting only gasoline in a two stroke engine you can destroy it. A two stroke engine requires oil to be mixed into the gasoline to keep the moving parts lubricated. When you do not have that oil there it will not lubricate correctly and therefore scar and break the moving parts on the inside.

Why does a 2 stroke engine not have oil?

It gets its lubrication from the oil mixed with the gasoline.

What is intake stroke in a diesel engine?

In a gasoline engine, it is a fuel-air mixture that is drawn in during the intake stroke, unless the engine is fuel injected. In a fuel injected or a diesel engine, it is air, because the fuel (gasoline or diesel) is injected at the "last moment" before ignition.

How do you you determine if a natural gas engine is 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

All natural gas engines are 4 stroke. In a 2 stroke engine the oil is mixed with the gasoline. This is not possible when using natural gas as a fuel.

What are some examples of the two stroke gasoline engine?

Chain saw, weed wacker.

Why does the burned gasoline do more work on the piston of an automobile engine during the power stroke?

The combustion cylcle (power stroke) forces piston down to create engine power.
