Is historical imagery coming to street view in Google Earth?

Not yet for Google Earth. Google recently created historical imagery for Street View on Google Maps. If historical imagery is available then a clock and date will be displayed in the upper left of the map.

Can you view pictures from 2007 on Google maps?

If imagery for a given area in Google Maps is older than 2007 you must wait for an update in that area.If imagery is more recent than 2007 Google Maps doesn't provide a 'historical imagery' view as Google Earth does. In that case you have to download/install Google Earth to see old/historical imagery.

How can Google Earth see property back in time in 2007?

Google does not delete imagery it already made available in past years so imagery from 2007, for example, would be available in Google Earth with the Historical imagery option. From the View menu check 'Historical Imagery' option to display a time slider showing available times for imagery.

How can you access google earth maps posted before 2006?

What date is Google Earth imagery?

The imagery date for a given image on Google Earth is shown in lower-left of status bar. If you don't see the Status Bar then it can be enabled in View menu by checking the item with same name. Note on average the imagery in Google Earth is three years old. If you change view time with 'Historical Imagery' enabled (also from View menu) then the selected time will also be displayed there. Sometimes newer imagery can be found in 'Historical Imagery'.

How do you see older images on Google Maps?

Google Maps doesn't let you toggle between current and historical imagery as does Google Earth. In Google Earth select 'Historical Imagery' under View menu. This shows a timeline slider from which to select available satellite and aerial imagery allowing you to travel back in time to see how things looked in the past.

How can you find the date of a Google Maps view?

For Street View imagery the date of a Street View is displayed bottom right of the image (but not the time). For dates of base imagery try Google Earth for the same scene which shows the imagery date. Google Earth (unlike Google Maps) has historical imagery showing all previous versions of imagery that Google has for the particular area.

Can you view Google Maps history and how long ago?
