I would suspect your brake pads are worn out. The grinding you are hearing is the destruction of your rotors taking place. It is also possible that you may have a defective wheel bearing. Inspect your brake system.
make sure it's not gravel in your front CV joints (driveshafts). are your rubber boots ripped?
likely a low power steering fluid problem , caused by a leak , if there is a grinding /whinnying noise at same time it`s probably this or a loose power steering belt
the noise could be coming from either a bad wheel bearing or something wrong in front axle.
Depending on the what type of car or truck could be the brakes or rotors low brake fluid, or the boot is open and its gone dry, wheel bearings. hope this helps
probably a stone caught in the brakes, it will eventually go away, but may damage your brake rotor, worst case. if it really annoys you, listen to what wheel it is coming from & remove the dust plate from the back & the stone should fall out (if that's what it is)
It depends on the vehicle, but usually there is a low grinding noise.
Most likely a bad bearing, or a dry bearing, usually from a wheel bearing. Reason being. At high speeds, the bearing is spinning too fast (you may just hear a slight whingeing sound), but when the bearing spins slower, the rollers, or balls are not thrown out by centrifugal force, allowing you to hear a more grinding noise.
It's either a wheel bearing or a brake pad dragging. Have it looked at very, very soon or it could become very, very expensive.
grinding on front wheel is caused by 2 things. a bad or loose wheel bearing,or worn out brakes, have them both checked You might also want to check the level of fluid in the power steering reservoir - low or lack of fluid will also cause a noise (although more of a whining than a grinding). This can also be caused by worn or damaged central velocity joints if the vehicle is front wheel or four wheel drive.
Check the level of the power steering fluid. A low level or no level of fluid will cause the groaning noise.
If you have hubcaps take then off and drive it. If the noise is gone the squeak is coming from the metal ring on inside of the hubcap. A few of the platic rivets are most likely loose. You can buy some foam tape to insulate the ring and the noise will be gone
They are equipped with a "telltale" warning that shrieks when the brakes are applied, with the brake pads are too low and need replacing.
