grooming cattle involves:
washing:
water, hose & nozzle (or cattle mister)
soap (I use Ivory)
scrub brushes
after they're washed, you blow them off with
huge, high powered blower
then to 'fancy' them up for the ring:
show foam (to fluff the hair)
(cattle) glue (for legs, tail head, poll, to stiffen up hair in desired position)
and a shiner (basically watered down WD40, for shining the animal)
to take it all out after, use a product called "Hocus Pocus" on all the places that glue was applied.
Showing:
leather halter with chain chin strap, show cane, and curry comb in back pocket are needed.
most judges like cattle to be set up with front legs even, and inside back leg staggered back.
I'm not going to go all through the showing process, other than always watch the judge.
