I'm going to assume you mean Charles Manson. Nobody benefited from Manson's rules but Manson himself. He just made them up as he went, and he was always exempt from these rules.
As far as my research shows, Manson was never shot. Either by police or in his dealings with seedy individuals. The thing to remember here is, Manson takes care of Manson. That is always his first priority.
No. Charles Manson is forbitten to write anyone, in accordance to the sentence that convicted him. Yes you can write to Manson, but whether he writes back is anybody's guess. He has gotten very selective about who he converses with. And there always has to be something in it for him. Unless it will benefit Charlie, it won't be happening.
No, Charles Manson is not on death row. His death sentence was changed to life imprisonment after the Supreme Court of the State of California acted to abolish the death penalty. His next scheduled parole hearing is in 2012. Links to some Related questions can be found below.
Yes, Marilyn Manson has always been a man.
He had several and one even lived to tell his tale. Early defense attorney Ronald Hughes disappeared after crossing Manson in court. After that his attorney was Irving Kanarek who informed the court that Manson could defend himself, although as an attorney I'm sure he was reluctant to let Manson represent himself in such a high profile, death penalty case.
Unlikely. Manson has been before the parole board so many times and always gets turned down. Before a prisoner can be paroled they must admit their crime and show remorse. Manson will do neither. Another factor is that Manson and his crimes are so notorious that people just don't want him out of prison. I doubt any parole board would let him out because the public would demand they be replaced.
I have never found any basis to indicate that Manson was a necropheliac. (likes sex with corpses) But Vince Bugliosi has said of Manson 'death is Charlie's trip'. And this does seem to be true. But it is always others deaths that makes Charlie happy. The thought of losing his own puts him in great distress. When you look at Manson with a critical eye all you see is a very small man, powerless and a prisoner of his own sick mind.
Charlie was always a busy guy. Besides murder and conspiracy to commit murder he was a car thief, burgler, song writer, and basically a 'legend in his own mind'.
Rotting in Prison. Manson has a very diminished existance. He stays in solitary confinement for his own protection. Does almost no socializing, has no family to speak of, and seems to lose a little more of himself everyday. He does enjoy a small amount of infamy, but I doubt it goes far. In his mid 70s, instead of getting mellow like most people do with age, Manson seems to grow more caustic with each passing day. In his speech he rambles endlessly and can talk for hours and not be understood as to the point he was trying to make. He has for the most part given up going to his parole hearings, so he lives without hope too. That has to be his worst punishment.
