Nope! Sounds as though you maybe aren't telling the truth. I am not aware of any substances that can mimic the metabolites of cocaine. So either you used, or there was a foul up at the lab, or you used! -e.r. Doc
No, there is only one drug with a valid use that can give a false positive for cocaine. Cocaine-hydrochloride topical solution. It is used by eye and throat surgeons as an anesthetic.
At the risk of violating federal medical privacy laws, are you on antibiotics? Most of them--especially ones with "cillin" in their names--will cause a false positive for cocaine. Also, strangely enough, tonic water--which contains quinine--will cause a false positive for cocaine, and Sudafed has been known to.A GC/MS system will be able to determine whether the drug you're on is amoxicillin, Sudafed, gin & tonic, or cocaine.
No. Hydrocodone will only test positive for opiates. Hydrocodone will not test positive for cocaine metabolites.
I didn't use any cocaine, so how did i test positive for it, is it possible that i may have consumed something else that would have made me test positive.
not enless you use
NO.....I am mdone and know for a fact no methdone use will not show as cocaine
some chemicals in cocaine are absorbed by the skin. so if you were to handle large amounts of cocaine it could result in a positive. also some of the very fine powders could float in the air and be breathed in and/or ingested. another consideration would be human tampering. could somebody have slipped it in your drink or food? maybe laced a cigarette or tobacco pipe? have you done any other drugs that could have been mixed with cocaine?
No...unless you wanna die
This advice is from a medical doctor and is absolutely positively accurate information. There is a lot of misinformation on the web giving false information on this frequently asked question. Here are the facts... 1. urine tests do not screen for cocaine itself because the drug is removed too quickly from your body, instead the urine test looks for metabolites that your body creates when cocaine has been consumed. The metabolite is called Benzoylecgonine. This metabolite is present in urine for "approximately" 3-5 days after casual use and as long as 30 days for a heavy user. These times however are not completely accurate as the excretion rate of Benzoylecgonine differs in every individual according to metabolic rate, weight, height, body fat content overall health, type of test etc... Most important determining factor is the type of test used. 2. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE OR OVER THE COUNTER SUBSTANCE THAT WILL GIVE A FALSE POSITIVE FOR BENZOYLECGONINE. The cocaine products used by dentists and doctors will not give you a false positive because their structure is chemically different than street cocaine. The standard EMIT test used by 95 percent of certified labs that do preemployment drug screening can show a false positive but the test is always confirmed by the Gs/Ms test which is 99 percent accurate and cannot be defeated in the court of law. To make a long story short, WHAT EVER ANYONE TELLS YOU, THERE IS NO WAY TO DISPUTE COCAINE USE IF YOU TEST POSITIVE FOR BENZOYLECGONINE... IT IS ABSOLUTE PROOF THAT YOU HAVE KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY INGESTED COCAINE IN SOME FORM. In a few rare cases, people have tested positive for Benzoylecgonine after drinking Peruvian tea that is made from crushed cocaine leaves but again this is actually ingesting cocaine itself and this excuse will be Extremely hard to prove.
Marijuana won't show up in a blood test, unless used immediately before. Amoxicillin can create a false positive for cocaine abuse, but if this is the case it should be easy to avoid trouble with proof of use of the drug.
As long as you didn't use any cocaine it will not show up on your drug test.
There aren't many false positive pregnancy tests. The test is looking for (HCG) Human chorionic gonadotropin which is a peptide hormone produced in pregnancy, that is made by the embryo soon after conception.Since the hormone is made by the embryo it is had to have a positive test from a woman who is not pregnant.
