I've had good results taking it, though the effects do seem to fade after a period of a few years. This may just be me though because I had the same problem with Zoloft. Other than that it gave me a good few years of happiness.
It took a good few weeks to get the results for anxiety it initially makes you more anxious but should start to work
Effexor is an SNRI (serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor). It's main use is to treat depression and anxiety, but it has been used off-label to prevent migraine headaches. So has Cymbalta, another SNRI. When you are taking Effexor be sure to be careful when taking triptan medications such as Imitrex, as they both work with serotonin and in rare cases can cause a serious and sometimes life-threatening reaction. Make sure your doctor knows all the medications you take for your migraines.
3-4 days@ 150 mg Effexor and 30mg Cymbalta 3-4 days @75 mg Effexor and 30 mg Cymbalta 3-4 days @37.5 mg Effexor and 60 mg Cymbalta I am changing from 300mg of effexor to cymbalta the doc is first dropping the effexor xr 75mg to 225 for a week, and then down 150 for a week, clymbalta increasing to 60mg, and from the 150mg, down 37.5mg until weaned off effexor with increasing cymbalta. that is how my doctor wants to do it, however over Christmas holidays we are not touching anything, and at any time if i feel wrong i am to go directly to the hospital. talk to your doc. good luck
== == I have been on Effexor XR for about 5 months. I have read all of the bad press and side effects also but after I started taking it. Honestly I have had no side effects and the meds work great for me. The only negative thing I can say is if you miss a dose, like I did, You may get very dizzy and feel very sick. I just took my med the next day and felt fine. The one real draw back is that you need to wean yourself off these meds very slowly and carefully or else you will get very bad side effects. That is also true for a lot of other antidepressants also. Everyone is different so some meds work for some and not for others. Its a hit or miss with antidepressants. Effexor XR has it positives and negatives. The main thing is you cannot quit them cold turkey. You have to slowly reduce the dosage. That is a very important bit of info that some doctors don't inform their patients of. It has worked wonderfully for me, so good luck! Also Effexor XR is Effexor XL.
It depends on many things: what you were taking Pristiq for in the first place, what dosage, what you've tried before, what side effects you suffered from with Pristiq, etc. The best alternative (as in, most equivalant switch) would be Cymbalta which is the only other approved SNRI (subtype of antidepressant that includes Effexor, Pristiq and Cymbalta). Effexor also, but Pristiq is the "upgraded" version of Effexor already (as Lexapro is the "upgraded" version of Celexa). Only a doctor can determine which is the best alternative for you.
A combination of hops and valerian at bedtime can provide a good night's sleep.
I have used the kit in the turbo 350 and the 700R4 GM transmissions with good results.
Yes just it wont work as good for best results drink with a full glass of water
I have a friend taking lyrica. She has good results taking 100mg in the morning and 150mg at bed time. She had to elliminate the afternoon dose. Good luck I currently take two a day. Both are 75 mg and I have no side effects at all. Ask your doctor if a slight reduction in the amount will solve your problem with the side effect.
No, it usually isn't acceptable for anyone to be vain at all. While looking good and taking pride and confidence in that fact is good for you, being vain is taking it too far; you should have more important things to worry about.
I Googled "Electric car Ireland" and got 6 good prospects on the first page of results. You should try!
