I have a '04 Mazda 6 and I did have problems with the CD player. While playing CD's, the stereo used to drop the entire right channel. I brought it to the dealer several times and 'they couldn't replicate the problem.' One day about 2 years ago when it dropped the right channel, I punched the dashboard and it has worked ever since.
