No, DC Comics was founded in 1934, while Marvel Comics was founded in 1939. Marvel is younger than DC by five years.
All the way back to the year 1939.
A little over 70 years.
Yes.
DC Comics has been around longer than Marvel Comics. DC was founded in 1934 while Marvel was founded in 1939.
DC's first comic book was New Fun Comics in 1935. Their first superhero comic was Action Comics #1, June 1938, featuring Superman.Marvel Comics #1, published by Timely Comics, featured the Human Torch (not the one from the Fantastic Four) and the Sub-Mariner, and was dated October 1939. Timely Comics changed its name to Atlas Comics in the 1950s, then to Marvel Comics in 1961.
There are various types of comics, such as superhero comics (like Marvel and DC), graphic novels (longer, more complex stories), webcomics (published online), manga (Japanese comics), and independent or alternative comics (non-mainstream, often self-published). Each type has its own unique style and audience.
The hugely successful comic book company known as DC Comics came to be in 1937. Their first issue was named "Detective Comics" (thus the initials DC). The letters DC appeared as an insignia first on the covers of comics produced by National Comics (a merger of Detective Comics and National Allied Publications), but as readers began to refer to the titles as "DC comics," the company adopted the name officially. Over the years, the company's abbreviated name "DC" has been defined in other ways, including parodical forms such as "Distinguished Competition" used by rival publisher Marvel Comics. It also has since been used to stand for Diamond Comics Distributors. Although, Diamond comics officially uses the initials DCD. DC is actually copyrighted by DC Comics.

Barbie appeared in a book of her own- sadly short lived- not much on plot- but one issue had Barbie and Ken as govt. EPA ecology agents- out in an animal-saving mission and Barbie rescuing a river otter- it is nice to see compassionate stuff in comics! there was also a neat inversion on the Tarzan or Garden of Eden as modern technical spies parachute into the jungle-to Help save endangered species! a nice twist. Barbie comics were put out by Marvel comics and sadly are no longer extant. The EPA agents story was for its type, a good one!
no, merely a collection of old sonic comics that can no longer be bought in their original form.
The best I can say is that the main series comics (Sonic Comics) are longer (up to about 222 issues) and have a slightly complicated storyline. Sonic Universe is shorter and is just a spin-off made by the same company. In my opinion, the main series is better.
Usually you should wait for a longer time, but now? Probably around $500 if it's in good shape.
The Incredible Hulk because his comics have been out longer, regardless if The Simpsons has been on for over 20 years.
