The birth certificate, showing the president was in fact born in Hawaii, has been verified by two governors, a number of fact-checking websites, all the major cable channels (including Fox News), the Doctor Who delivered him, and assorted people who knew the Obama family when they lived in Honolulu. Despite that, there is a group of people called "Birthers" who refuse to accept the well-documented fact that the president was born in the United States. It has also been independently verified by the Pulitzer-prize winning site Politifact.com and the equally reliable website Factcheck.org in addition to many reporters (from all the major networks and cable channels), two governors, various mayors, and the doctor who delivered him at the hospital in Hawaii. Unfortunately, there is a group of people called the "Birthers" who believe the president was not born in the United States, and no matter how much proof is shown to them, they continue to insist it cannot be true.
