The internet has done a lot of good for the Mormon Church. Now when people hear about Mormons or are curious, they can easily go to the internet for answers. The Mormon church has a lot of internet resources which allow people to see what they are like and what they believe in a comfortable, non-confrontational way. The Mormon church has always been called a cult, but the internet makes it easier for people to verify if these allegations are true. A hundred years ago, anti-Mormon books would be published making totally false, outlandish claims (like Mormons having horns or throwing women off the spires of the temple), and the readers had very few resources to learn the truth, so they believed these claims. Now, it is easy for people to check online to see claims are true or false.
