Atheists don't believe in Gods or Demons. So I doubt if you can find any verifiable case of an Atheist being possessed by demonic forces.

AnswerIt depends on what you call a record. There have been people who claimed to have been previously atheist until they were posessed and God came into their life and ousted the demon. But I can find no records of anyone having known an atheist previously who then went through this. In other words, it's never been seen or documented by an outside observer. At best this puts demonic posession on the same footing as UFO sightings. And believe me, I consider myself a Christian. But I am a follower of what Paul said Jesus said since he was the closest to the source as you can get. And Paul never mentioned demons. Demons historically have been the names people have given to the causes behind all sorts of ailments and issues of humans before medicince came around. If someone had a disease - it was demons. If someone had Teret's syndrome, the cursing was caused by demons. If someone cracked and started off on a killing rampage, it was because of demons. Demons could and were used to explain all sorts of erroneous behavior and problems. In fact, that's why to this day people say "bless you!" when you sneeze. Because it stems fromt he belief that a demon could be within you causing you to become ill. Of course, witches make just as good of a scapegoat. As medical technology started catching on to the real causes of all these issues, demoons quit being the cause of all the problems and they had started to disappear from the psyche until the evangelistic christians started up around the early to mid 1900s. Then there was a rebirth.

If you are looking for the answer to whether or not demons are real, you need not look to atheists for the answer. There are countless other religions out there that do not believe in demons or anything similar. And of course, since they do not believe in demons, they don;t have trouble with them either. Many of these religions deal with spirits - but they handle them differently. No doubt that christians would say that any religion other than Christianity dealing with spirits is obviously the work of the devil. But that's an illinformed opinion since they never bother to learn about these other religions and don't realize that the entire religion simply doesn't fit inside the box that Christianity tries to put it into.

Don't listen to themDemons exist, regardless of those athiests, or anything that someone might say, as their existence is not limited to our beliefs and what we think, for they are spirits, and one could say that our souls are bound to our bodies, until something serious happens to them.

If you do not have Christ or the Holy Spirit within you, you can be possessed by a demon, regardless of what you think, what you believe, or what records say or don't say, regardless of where they are or even if they exist, or are credible sources of information.
