Probably a weak fuel pump. Keep in mind that the #1 problem with these cars is fuel pump failure once the are a few years old,
if its cranking but not starting most likely fuel pump
make sure it's getting fuel and make sure it's getting spark to the plugs.
If the pump is getting power but not pumping, it's probably a faulty pump. It's also possible that the pump pickup screen is blocked.
Cranking the engine over to get it to start takes some power. To put that power back, you need to let the engine run for awhile. If your engine needs more than average cranking before firing up,and you only run it short periods, then you'll slowly drain the battery. Or maybe your battery isn't getting charged as it should.
Quit trying to start my Ford Ranger! Is your Ranger cranking slow (low battery), not cranking (dead battery, bad starter), cranking good but not getting gas (clogs, no gas in tank, bad fuel pump), not getting spark (plugs, wires, coil), or what?
Check the 92 Camaro neutral safety switch next. If the switch is faulty then the starter will not get power to start the engine.
first check to see if your getting spark, or fuel
express 3500 chevy van tries to start but doesnt. when cranking stopped the engine rumbles. getting fuel can smell it.

Put gas in the tank, and start cranking. Should start in a few seconds.Put gas in the tank, and start cranking. Should start in a few seconds.
Is it getting gas? Spark? Did you pump the gas pedal while you were starting/cranking the motor?
Start with the basics. There are two things needed - Fire and gas. Fire being electrical power, make sure there is fire to your plugs. Gas make sure it is getting gas to the carburator. Search both pathways to your problem.
