Have a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pickup with power locks and the passenger door will not open have tried everything i can think of the rods that work the lock and the inside door handle are both ok?

try to remove inner door panel to observe - lock is not releasing
Take the door panel off, there is a plastic or nylon clip that holds 2 of the rods together. It's located almost touching the lock mechanism inside the end of door. most auto parts stores sell them for 2-4 bucks. Good luck.Wiki User
