The download location is set in the preferences of the application you used to download the file. If you can not find the location by looking in the preferences, you can search for a DMG file. iTunes is downloaded as a disk image. The name is iTunes*.dmg where * is the version number of the iTunes you downloaded. If you don't know the version number just search for iTunes or dmg. In the Finder you can find things by pressing the Apple Key and F.
