i have same problem had to change the distributor
I would try distibutor cap and rotor.
The firewall is the metal "wall" between the engine compartment and the interior.
try replacing the ignition module inside the distribuetor.
your serial number is on the back of the engine block on the side facing the fire wall
Passenger side rear of engine down low. I had to take the two nuts off the strut tower tie bar and lift it slighty to get down there. That is a lousy design!! I then used a snorkel funnel to add fluid. On my 2001 Monte Carlo it is to the right of the bottom of the engine coolant, below and at the rear of the alternator, just in front of the fire wall. Hard to find unless you know where to look, good luck.
Above the power steering pump right next to the fire wall. Very hard to find unless you know where to look. Just look behind the engine. It's closer to the passenger's side. It's way down there so look hard.
Its on the fire wall middle over the intake, look at your dipstick for the trans mission its just behind it . e
dex-cool antifreeze is what came from the factory.
Antifreeze is composed of mainly ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, both of which are combustible. So yes, antifreeze IS combustible. However, neither of these compounds is very easily ignited. But although it is HIGHLY unlikely that antifreeze could start a fire, antifreeze could be dangerous if it actually gets hot enough to burn (such as in an ongoing structure fire).
rod bearings, pistons locked...thrown rod...could be a million things...best bet is to take it out and check the crankshaft and rods make sure nothing broke
It is a simple fuse in the fuse box, if you have a manuel it will let you know which one. But keep in mind that this could affect any airbag system you have in the car. If your belt is not on the air bag system will not fire in an accident. (70.171.217.232)
