As much as we love to hate giant corporations, they do improve life for many people. Computers, cars, appliances, ipods and many other items that we use every day are produced by corporations. Microsoft is a giant corporation that has created software products that make millions of people worldwide more productive, every day. Agriculture corporations have increased food production so that we have a greater variety of fresh fruits and vegetables available year-round. Pharmaceutical corporations develop new drugs that treat or cure disease, and become rich in the process. Many people are employed by corporations, and many people will retire on the income from the corporate stocks in their 401Ks. So, I would say that the majority of Americans see some benefits from corporations, for all their flaws.

First, this question is in need of a definition. What is a corporation? I have an S-corporation for the farm, many of LLC/LLP corporations which is a variation, but the corporation you are referring to is the C-corporation. A corporation truly is just a business built legally to run indefinitely...a created person who never dies, which is run by people just as which any other business, government entity, church, etc. Corporations are making our lives better in much the same way as these. You could replace "corporations with "people" because this would be just as true. Without corporations, people wouldn't take the risks, financially be capable of funding these risks, or provide any of the goods you and I see today. Compare other countries with other structures/models. The corporate structure is a new thing, they are a necessity.

the majority of corporations increase their profits by any means that includes breaking human rights laws paying people lower wages and getting things that they need made cheaper in third world countries.
