God takes credit for the creation of the heavens and earth, every star and planet.
Answer:
Only in passing. The "stars" God mentions in His Word are the planets.
Man is presently "confined" to planet earth. With the exception of his limited perilous exploits in "near" outer space... and fictional treks beyond our solar system... man has enough trouble getting along with one another and surviving here on earth -- without the added problem of spreading the evil to the planets beyond.
The Bible is God's Word to man, telling Him of what must be done first, before he inherits the universe and the planets together with His Son.
Sin and death must be defeated, first on earth. And man must be given immortality, before he can step out into places where no breatheable air exists, to explore and colonize the planets. Of course, the Bible doesn't say anything about that, directly -- but what else is God's Family, His Children, going to do with the universe once they inherit it? Will they do nothing - forever?
Right now... there's evil on the earth. And God has confined both man and Satan and his angels here, until all are tried in the Judgment at the Last Day of God's plan. Then sin and wickedness shall perish, and the humble, repentant Righteous through Christ shall Live.
"...death and hell [the grave] were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death." (Rev.20:14)
"But every man in his own order: Christ the Firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming. THEN COMETH THE END, when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
"For He must reign, till HE HATH PUT ALL ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is DEATH." (I Cor.15:23-26)
Man's concern about the planets comes at the end of God's present plan... because the Bible ENDS with A NEW BEGINNING:
"...Behold, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW... THESE WORDS ARE TRUE AND FAITHFUL... He that overcometh SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS [the universe]; and I will be his God, and HE SHALL BE MY SON." (Rev.21:5-7)
So, until Jesus Christ and His Father complete the work they [and those whom they are calling] need to accomplish in the Father's present plan of the saving of earth and man from the god he chose to worship and obey in the beginning... and restore the order of God's Government to earth -- man has no business concerning himself overly much with the planets beyond his breatheable atmosphere. There will be plenty of time for that after he is "changed"... and doesn't require breathing any more.
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep [die], but WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED... at the last trump... the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on IMMORTALITY." (I Cor.15:51-53)
The planets will take on new interest to man once he's "changed"... and is able to go to them and stand on them at will. But, the Bible only hints at such things for now, with the defeat of sin on earth as its message and its top priority.
"...eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." (I Cor.2:9-10)
Man's present concern is planet earth, and with overcoming, through Jesus Christ, the evil that burdens him. This is in the Bible... planet earth; which God prepared, to sustain man's fragile, mortal self for the time being. At the end of God's plan... this too will be changed and made new.
"...I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." (Rev.21:1)
Big changes, also, are coming to planet earth, when the Father Himself, His throne and the Holy City, New Jerusalem will descend from heaven and rest upon it, to become the seat of God's throne in the universe.
"...Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with him, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God... for the former things are passed away." (Rev.21:3-4)
These Truths are in the Bible about planet earth. But few men have read them. And fewer yet believe them... nor has it entered into their hearts the things God has prepared for them on the planets beyond.
wondered He wondered how many stars there are.
Due to the multiple translations and number of publishers of the bible, sales figures are next to impossible to track. However, it is very likely that any book has ever outsold the Bible.
No one knows for sure. It wasn't really ever mentioned in the Bible.
Isa:59:16: And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

Some planets may potentially be destroyed by collisions with their stars or with other planets, but they cannot just disappear.
Have you ever wondered about anything? life? Existence? Anything?! Everyone does. Everyone wonders about something and some have their interests. Most people wonder about the world. Do you ever wonder? I wonder all the time and you probably do without knowing it. You wondered when you asked this question; 'Why do you wonder about the world?'
No.it goes on for ever and ever, and there can be infinity planets with life on them.
