Your battery is charging. Gateways have three color lights: blue, purple, and red. Red means a battery or charger malfunction. Purple means charging and blue is that you are on external power or your battery is fully charged.
What model corolla?
35 R, type battery.
A battery may get hot on a 1999 Toyota Corolla when it is being used for a long period of time.
I have a 1993 corolla and the battery is 390CCA. Some car battery selectors I've used recommend 320 - 350 CCA batteries.
It could be an alternator. Check with a mechanic if that is the issue.
35 R
No. You don't use a damaged battery because, it will malfunction and may explode.
More than likely you have corrosion at the terminals. Clean the battery terminals and then recharge the battery and see what happens.
Remove the positive battery cable from your 1997 Toyota Corolla battery. Tighten the starter with the retaining bolts. Attach the cables to the front of the starter. Reattach the positive cable to the battery.
It uses voltage from the alternator which in-turns comes from the battery.......
BCI Group 35 battery, should have at least 420 CCA.
