Hi you have a grand Cherokee Laredo 1999 newer shape your liftgate will not open neiher will the back glass window unlatch and open when one pushes the remote to open all the rest of the doors unlock?

Remove the small rectangular cover on inside of gate. Push down on arm and have someone pull on outside handle. The gate should open then. The power lock motor is probably bad and has to be replaced.
