High oil pressure in a diesel engine?

high oil pressure usually means that a liner in the engine cylander has dropped. take it to a mechanic

Why compression ratio of petrol enine is 8 where as diesel engine is 22?

because a diesel engine ignites its fuel with pressure, and not with a spark like a petrol engine. that is why a petrol engine does not need as high a compression ratio as a diesel engine

What is the meaning of hpi for cars?

HPI = High Pressure Injection. It is used mainly in diesel engine to inject diesel into the cylinder

What happens when oil is mixed with oxygen under pressure?

If the compression is high enough you get a diesel engine.

What causes high fuel consumption in a diesel engine?

There are several causes for high fuel consumption in a diesel engine. These include a difference in the weight of the vehicle, increased usage of air conditioning, and a difference in tire pressure.

What does HDIS mean?

HDI is High pressure Direct Injection engine that is found in diesel cars. Fuel is injected into the combustion changer under high pressure.

How do you perform diesel engine tune up?

For common rail diesel engines you can use a solvent that recommended by manufacturer and directly connect it to the high pressure diesel pump and run the engine for 45 -60 minutes

Diesel Generator And How It Works?

A diesel generator is basically a device that uses diesel fuel that produces electricity. In essence this type of generator can be seen as two separate devices within one unit that produces power. The diesel engine uses the fuel which powers the motor that causes the motion for the generator. Then the motion that is created is turned into electricity with the use of electromagnets. The engine and the generator which contains the electromagnets within it, is connected with a crankshaft which in turns aids in the transfer of motion to the generator. The small engine of the diesel generator operates like other small similar engines. And any fuels can be used to operate the small engines. Diesel is preferred because of its ability to burn and not explode like other fuels in that category. To start the diesel generator, the gas tank has to be filled, then the engine can be started either by using a key or by an automatic starter. Pull start engines are quite common on diesel generators as well. To start a pull start engine, just give a quick tug on the cord and the engine will turn over and fire right up. To keep the engine at a good speed, their is a throttle or governor. This helps maintain the power output and also prevents damage from occurring within the components of the engine from operating at a high speed. As the diesel engine is started and the inner workings turn the crankshaft that is connected to the generator, this spawns the motion within the chamber that contains the electromagnets. The constant high speed motion produces an electric current which is ready to be used by anything plugged into the generator. The governor switch allows for the engine to rev at various points while electricity is being used. This prevents the diesel generator from dropping suddenly while tools or other various items are plugged in and are being used.

What can happen if diesel fuel is used instead of antifreeze in a diesel engine radiator cooling system?

diesel has a lower boiling point than antifreeze. as the engine heats up the diesel will vapourize and cause high pressure in your system. you will also has much worse temperature control in your engine.

Where is fuel pump a diesel L322 2003 model?

they are a common rail diesel engine so there is 3 pumps two low pressure and one high pressure. one low pressure located in the tank one low pressure located under the car passenger side in front or rear axle under a inspection plate the high pressure of course is attached to the engine

What is the maximum oil pressure you should have in a diesel engine?

High oil pressure is not usually a problem. The relief will open around 100psi on most engines.
