1. In September 1938 Hitler demanded the area then called the Sudetenland. It bordered Germany and Austria and was ovewhelmingly German speaking. 2. Having got what he said he wanted, Hitler invaded the rest of the Bohemia and Moravia in March 1939. Parts of Slovakia were seized by Hungary and Poland, and the rest of Slovakia became a German puppet state.

The population there was dominated by German speaking, former Austrian people. Based on propaganda by Hitler, these people were inclined to become part of "greater Germany". The problem with the Munich Conference was that the Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia was not invited. The conference had the leaders of the UK, France, Italy and of course the 'host" Adolph Hitler.

When Adolf Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, a man called Neville Chamberlain gave Adolf a part of Czechoslovakia and Neville said to Adolf to take this part of Czechoslovakia and don't ask for more. But of course after a while Adolf took the whole of Czechoslovakia. Then he went on to invade Poland.
