Ghamberlain, the British Prime minister, returned to UK with a 'piece of paper' which said Hitler had no more European countries on his list after the Sudetenland. Oh dear ! Czechoslovakia would be invaded & then came Poland. Simply Hitler was not a man of his word !
Sudentland is the territory of Czechoslovakia that was formaly owned by Germany, when you look at it from a World War 2 perspective. The United States and Britain forced Czechoslovakia to give up Sudentland to Hitler, this was called the Munich Agreement. The Munich Agreement gave Hitler Sudentland as long as he promissed not to make anymore territorial claims. He broke the promiss when he invaded Czechoslovakia.
Hitler wanted to acquire living space for his so-called Aryan race. Despite popular belief, he did not want to conquer the world or Europe for that matter. He wanted to conquer Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Russia. He successfully annexed Austria and Czechoslovakia without war. He knew that the wouldn't just give him Poland so he decided to invade it in 1939 cause Britain and France to declare war on Germany. That's how World War 2 started.
