I had the same code (P0240) on my 2000 Honda Odessey. It kept coming on for about six months and I kept resetting it. After reset, it would return after about 60 miles or so of driving (or less). On a hunch, I took a hammer, laid on the ground, and reached under the van. I gave the catalytic converter about a dozen firm raps with the hammer... sides, bottom, ends. Not enough to dent it but good, solid raps. My theory was that this would shake loose built-up soot and such inside the converter and maybe allow it to operate again within specs. The P0240 codes has NOT returned. It's been about six weeks now. YES!!! Nate - Toledo, OH.
