To cancel or delete your Gmail account, you can follow these steps:

1. Open a web browser and go to the Google Account settings page

2. Sign in to the Google Account associated with the Gmail address you want to cancel.

3. Once signed in, locate the "Data & Personalization" section and click on it.

4. Scroll down until you find the "Download, delete, or make a plan for your data" section and click on "Delete a service or your account."

5. You may be prompted to sign in again for security purposes.

6. In the next step, you will see options to delete specific Google services or delete your entire Google Account. To cancel only your Gmail account, click on "Delete a service."

7. On the next page, you will see a list of Google services associated with your account. Locate "Gmail" and click on the trash bin icon next to it.

8. You will be asked to provide an alternative email address where you can be contacted. Enter a different email address that you have access to.

9. Review the information and the consequences of deleting your Gmail account. If you still wish to proceed, check the boxes confirming your understanding and click on "Delete Gmail."

10. Finally, you may be asked to re log in your current account as a security measure. Enter it and click on "Delete Gmail" to complete the process.

Please note that deleting your Gmail account will permanently remove all your emails, contacts, and other associated data.
