i have a mazda, and i had the same question before, it turned out to be at the end of the hand brake, between the 2 seats, over the back middle ashtray ;) maybe it'll be the same ;)
jack rear of car use jacks, with the hand brake off pump food brake 2-3 times, with food brake pressed down pull hand brake up in a normal manner 3-4 times ,this should reset the handbrake.
If your hand brake doesn't work you may just need new brakes in the rear, but in some cases the hand brake cable may have stretched and need some adjustment. To adjust the hand brake cable tention you must remove the 1" by 1/2" cover located on the driver side right next the the handbreak. You will find a hex nut that controls the tention which has a socket size of 12mm. Turn nut to the right until desired tention on handle.
You will wear out your and brake, and make the engine work harder.ANS 2 You will overheat the brake and strain the engine. If you didn't smell brake overheating, you may be OK. However you should re-adjust this brake as it should have prevented the car from moving.
No, the magnitude of a vector (in Euclidean space) is the square root of the sum of the squares of its components. This value can never be greater than the value of one of its own components.v = √((vx)2 + (vy)2 + (vz)2)v2 = (vx)2 + (vy)2 + (vz)2(vx)2 = -(vy)2 - (vz)2 + v2vx = √(-(vy)2 - (vz)2 + v2)Can vx > v?Substituting:√(-(vy)2 - (vz)2 + v2) > √((vx)2 + (vy)2 + (vz)2).Simplified:v2 > (vx)2 + 2(vy)2 + 2(vz)2.Substituting again:(vx)2 + (vy)2 + (vz)2 > (vx)2 + 2(vy)2 + 2(vz)2.Simplifying again:0 > (vy)2 + (vz)2.This results in a fallacy, since 0 can't be greater than a positive number. This wouldn't work even if both vy and vz were 0.
the control is automatic adjusment but the control is under the rear seat, first make sure you adjust the brake on the 2 o'clock lug nut.
there are 2 rubber plugs that pull out on the back of the drum look inside the holes and you will see the star gear, take a brake tool or a screwdriver and turn the gear upward until you feel the brake shoes rubbing on the drum as you turn the drum by hand, adjust all 4 wheels evenly.
Rear brakes use a 2-stage rotor. Interior of rotor has a brake drum effect with brake shoes Adjust these brake shoes carefully because there is some expansion with friction heat and may cause brakes to drag
Chock the front wheels, place the car kin a gear and jack up the car. Release the handbrake and adjust it by 2 to 3 flats. Apply it to see if the adjustment has been made.
There is no adjustment on 1984 thru 1989 carrera. There are 2 brake light switches which are wired in parallel and are located on the brake master cylinder.
Move the switch until it opens the contact when the brake pedal is pushed down 1/2".
Use your hand
