How Do Krakatoa Look Like?

The nearby islands of Java and Sumatra are heavily forested with occasional towns. The small islands that remain of the original Krakatoa are also forested. Some trees grow around the new volcanic island of Anak Krakatau has some trees around the edges but is mostly covered in ash and volcanic rock.

it is a small volcano called anak Krakatoa meaning "son of Krakatoa" it is 2667 feet high and is still growing today.

After the eruption of 1883 most of Krakatoa had disappeared beneath the sea. Only a few tall portions of the island remained, stripped of vegetation and covered in hot ash.
