How Do you tell a guy that you have dated and been intimate with that you like him without scaring him away?

This is what I call, "A Mexican Stand-off!" Many men find it hard to express their love for a women (especially when they are younger.) They are caught up in trying to be a man and being protective about those around them that they find it hard to say that word. I don't know if you remember that movie, "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, but when she told him she loved him, he would say "ditto." It wasn't that he didn't love her, the word "love" just stuck in his throat. There was a lesson in that movie .. if you love someone let them know. Timing is very important of course. I do understand you want to keep your dignity and not feel you are trying to push this guy. I'd take it slow and easy and give it a little more time. When you are intimate with someone that is one way of saying you care about them, but the modern world has really ruined this one, because it seems everyone is sleeping with someone these days and sex is like getting up in the morning and brushing your teeth. So, having sex is just that in some cases to some people ... sex and it's pleasureable and I deserve it. Body language has a lot to do with how someone feels about you. If he holds your hand, puts his arm around your shoulder, smiles at you for no reason you can think of (he sure can think of the reason ... perhaps he finds you cute, or loves the things you do) or he may just stare at you with a soft look on his face. It's time to pay attention to his body language. Also, the "eyes are the window of the soul" and if he has soft eyes, looks at you and smiles, treats you well then I would say all signs say he loves you. It's best to wait and see if he utters the words first, but after a month or two down the road (and he's a good guy and treats you well) then choose a good time, like sitting alone in a room with the lights down low, or going for a walk alone and tell him you love him. He's either going to hit the deck on a run or he's going to say "ditto" or with luck "I love you too!" Good luck Marcy
