Mobile phones have become one of the biggest advancements in today’s modern society. Created in many shapes and sizes, mobile phones are as numbered and diverse as their users. Once bulky and cumbersome, mobile phones have evolved into sleek and stylish accessories. In fact, many cell phone companies have began competing in a veritable equivalent of an arms race inside of the wireless technology sector. Polyphonic ringtones, that is, ringtones that sound like actual music recordings rather than something derived from a 1985 Nintendo console, were just the beginning. With the advent of the iPhone, mobile phones suddenly became complete media players. Now a mobile phone doubles as a music player, a movie player, an internet browser, a video game system and a GPS.
Each of the five top mobile phone manufacturers, Nokia, Samsung, LG Electronics, Sony and Motorola have each unveiled their own top-of-the-line mobile phone. Each manufacturer touts their own flagship phone as the iPhone killer, though nothing has lived up to the name so far. If any phone has come close to nipping at the iPhone’s tail, it would be the BlackBerry, developed by the Canadian company Research In Motion. The BlackBerry has become so popular, even United States President Barrack Obama uses one. The BlackBerry works as a smartphone, an e-mail client, an instant message device and an Internet fax machine, just to name a few of its features.
The iPhone and BlackBerry inspire wonder and awe about what mobile phone devices hold for the future. It seems as though smartphones already do so much, it seems impossible to add any other features. Impossible it is not. Mobile devices are limited only by the imaginations of mobile phone manufacturers. Perhaps future mobile phones will include features that seem the realm of Science Fiction today What, for example, if mobile phones had the capability to perform video chat? What if cell phones one day replace the home computer as the most powerful consumer electronics device on the market? Imagine if your laptop was small enough to fit in your
pocket. On top of that, it could also take phone calls. As long as consumers continue to demand more features, it seems such a world is inevitable.
As the future has yet to happen then the past tense 'changed' is incorrect.
No one knows how the future will evolve.
Out door games are rapidly disappearing due to mobiles and computers. That is a real and serious hazard for this generation to face in near future.
