According to the official rulebook: “A player landing on this place does not receive any money, property or reward of any kind. This is just a ‘free’ resting place.”
Many people who play choose to invoke a house rule that allows anyone who lands on Free Parking gets to collect the pot of money that has accumulated from all fines, taxes, etc., up to that point. However, the rulebook states that all of that money is supposed to go directly back to the bank.
It depends on how you are playing Monopoly.
One of the informal rules often used is that all fines and payments to the bank go in the middle of the board. Anyone that lands on Free Parking gets all the money in the middle.
Free Parking is a corner square on the board diagonally opposite to Go. When a player lands here nothing happens and they move off the space on their next turn. The only exception is in the Monopoly City version, where landing on the space grants the player the 'Rent Dodge' card, regardless of if another player has it or not.
We always put any tax money or any other money used to but: houses, properties or any fees right in the middle. So essentually whoever lands on free parking wins the lottery or jackpot prize. In all games that i have ever played this has been very rare however i think that this makes the game 10x more exciting. Without this option it would be a standerd game however with it theres excitment and something to look forward to in the game.
nothing happens its just a normal space and you wont have to do anything.
When you land on free parking you give 100 to the bank and you can go anywhere on the board and you can buy a propety or take a mystery card.
If there is any money that has been taken by income tax or super tax, the person that lands on free parking will get all that money.
You take all the money from the middle of the board and than the banker has to put another 500 in the middle of the board.
Everything, at least when I play, is u to the players. The heck with the rules, we place the "Do not pass Go, Do not gollect $200.00" under "Free Parking, and who ever lands there first gets it.
It depends what rules you play by. Either you pay the income tax to the bank or you pay it to free parking.
Yes, - the only time you cannot collect rent is when you are IN Jail (not Just Visiting). ♥
15,000 <><><><><> It depends on the house rules. The official rules state that Free Parking is a "do nothing" space, but there are many variants. One variant that I play is that all fees and fines get put into the middle of the board, and that you collect them when you land on Free Parking. nuthing idiot
there is an optional rule that you earn 400 dollars instead of 200
According to the official rules of the game of Monopoly, no reward of any kind is offered for landing on Free Parking. Many people play by "House Rules," and they often vary by community. The game is started by putting $500 in the middle of the board. Each time you need to pay the bank for a Chance or Community Chest card, that payment, too, is put into the middle. When someone lands on Free Parking, he wins what is in the middle, and a new $500 bill is put in the center. A similar local game variation is: When you land on Go, you receive double the amount ($400 instead of $200) from the bank.
No, you have to land on it to buy it.
You are not allowed to purchase any properties, all properties belong ot the government. When you cross go, you give 200 dollars to the government, who then re distributes it amongst your comrads. when you land on a property you do nothing, when you land on free parking you do nothing, and when you go to jail you are immediatly removed form the game and the government can change the properties names if they want as well as choosing if can buy something or not. If you land on chance you shoot yourself to see if you live or not.
The point of the game is to get the most money and land.
They were given a large portion of land surrounding the Hudson bay. The land was called "Ruperts Land". Since the HBC owned the land they had an monopoly of its buisness. Monopoly-complete control(only people aloud to buy and sell furs there)
Depends on what type of parking you are looking for? PICKING UP A PASSENGER You can use the cellphone waiting area, which is free. Just have the person you are picking up call you after they land. Hourly PARKING The long-term lot is only $1/hr and $8/day The hourly garage is like $4/hr.
