A thermostatic switch works by turning on when the temperature is below a certain point. A thermostatic switch will also turn off when the temperature reaches a certain point. Thermostatic switches are used for space heaters so that they do not overheat.
Some motorcycles have a separate switch for the headlight that works independently of the ignition. If this is not the case, then there might be a short in the wiring for the headlight.
replace the key switch hope this works for you
Something is probably overheating. You should check the power supply. It is fairly common that they will overheat and shut off. After it cools off, it will run for a while again. If it runs longer after cooling off for a long time then that is probably it.
Brake Light switch works without the ignition on. unplug the brake pedal switch and check to see if the brake lights are still on..switch could be defective
A 3 way switch wired ---- , but works A 3 way switch wired not to code ---- , but works A 3 way switch wired not to code but it works
It sounds like a bad ignition switch. You should be able to take the switch off and take the wire leads off of the switch. If you touch the positive to negative and everything works correctly, then the switch is bad. Before you do this I would ensure that the power from the battery is getting to the bike so check the terminals.
"Switch it off" is what we say in America.
An electric light switch works by interrupting or completing the circuit that allows electricity to flow to a light fixture. When the switch is turned on, it closes the circuit, allowing electricity to flow and the light to turn on. When the switch is turned off, it opens the circuit, cutting off the flow of electricity and turning the light off.
