Vaginal ultrasound scanner is a highly scientific instrument and will be highly accurate for preganancy scan of fetus from 5 weeks gestation and onwards.
You are probably about one month pregnant, but an ultrasound scan will be more accurate.
The hearbeat usually heard in an ultrasound about 6 weeks, 12 weeks using fetoscope and using a regular stethoscope about 5 months.
Well I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks and it was not very accurate. and it will not be able to tell the sex of your baby. Oh by the way, depending on what kind of insurance you have and what hospital you are at you may not get another ultrasound. An ultrasound at 7 weeks is extremely accurate, within 2-3 days. At 13 weeks it will be accurate within about 5 days. It can certainly not be off by a month.
It is not NECESSARY to do an ultrasound at all, they have only been done for the last 25 years or so and women were having babies for thousands of years before them. Having said that..... If you are unsure of your dates or you have bleeding you may have an ultrasound for dating and to check you are not miscarrying at 6-7 weeks. There are blood tests done for genetic abnormalities and a test for Downs syndrome where the scan is done at 12-13 weeks. (this would be the 3 month scan) If everything is normal and you are not having these tests most women have a scan at 18-20 weeks as at this stage the baby is fully formed and all its systems can be checked. (This would be the 5 month scan). There are no guarantees that the scan will pick up ALL abnormalities as some just cannot be seen on a scan. You do not have to have a scan at all if you don't want to it is totally up to you if and when you have it.
At 7 weeks an ultrasound is accurate within 2 or 3 days. At 20 weeks it is accurate within 5-7 days.
It doesn`t need any age to get an ultrasound, but it has to be 2 years and 6 months old to breed. I think your mare must have been pregnant for 5 months to get an ultrasound, which costs 200 Equus.
around 5 months the sex can be detected through ultrasound
A ultrasound will pick up pregnancy between 5-7 weeks into pregnancy.
Yes. The ultrasound at five weeks will show the yolk sac. The fetus may or may not be visible yet as a small tube shape. By seven to eight weeks, the scan will show a little triangular shape embryo with the body cavities visible, and a beating heart.
Currently it is pretty reasonable, although not exact. I would give a fudge factor of a week one way or the other, particularly if you weren't having sex frequently.
If there is no heartbeat, then I am afraid you will miscarry. Ultrasounds are usually accurate.
