How are Brahmins treated?

Basically the brahmins are inventors of both spiritual and metaphysical aspects of science.They have brought down with them the heavenly vedas and tried to serve the society through rituals and sacrifices. Brahmins as a rule are ordered in various Sutras like Apastamba, Gautama,Avalayana etc not to earn wealth but to earn only knowledge. Only 3 days of ration of food is allowed according to the religion. They were asked to live in exclusive Ashrams deep inside forests totally cut off from the rest of the society as a social interaction. Since they have been given absolute authority in their hands as to how to run the society by giving guidelines as per the Vedas, they were curtailed the power. However there is a provision for the brahmins to convert into kshatriyas my utterances of certain mantras and back as brahmins whenever a need arose. They would then become Brahm-Kshatriyas and only then they would be able to participate in a war. Since a brahmin's word is treated to be final, a brahmin is considered to be the real uncrowned king.Any kshatriya has to ask his Guru to sit on his throne whenever he visits him and attend to him as a servant.

The aspect of power is given to the warrior class or the Kshatriyas. The duties include carrying out and executing the orders of the Guru with precision.Even the Gotras of the Kshatriya king takes his Guru's gotra. Whenever a king deviates from his duties, the Guru would employ his disciples to eliminate the king and restore the vedic traditions.People whom the Guru employed for the purpose of keeping the king under check were called Niyogis( those who are employed). This class of brahmins also called as Brahm-Kshatriyas, could fight for sake of the king whereas the vedic brahmins could not fight a war for the king but only for the sake of religion or Dharm yudh( Holy war).

To materialise the power, it needed to be quantified in terms of counts hence wealth. The aspect of creating this wealth and protecting this lied with Vaishyas or Baniya. These would serve the King and assist him implement the directives of the Guru by administering it through trade and commerce and regulating the wealth reserves and creating more wealth thereby increasing the value of the power.

All the above had to be done with a spirit of serving the vedas and the holy religion, the Sanathan Dharma. Over time, following attacks from foreign lands and conversions, the whole system got uprooted. Ultimately the evils done outside the purview of the vedas were attributed to the top order. Every tom , dick and harry began abusing the brahmin. The poor brahmin unaware of this continued his work in secluded forests. As his authority was questioned and nobody to support him, he began to deviate from his vedic duties to fight for his survival. It became a norm for everyone to make the brahmin a target as he was in minority and mentally strong.

The brahmin sustained every abuse and insult, still he is targeted religiously without fail. The grand design to end the vedas backfired with brahmins becoming immune and much more stronger. Brahmins could sustain this social evil of being targeted and still survive with the age old traditions. This is all because of the strength of both spiritual and mental both combined. Though many brahmins themselves had to leave the traditions for the sake of survival, yet still enough supplies of brahmins still survives. That is the strength of a brahmin.

Without power, without wealth, still most of the top IAS officers, military officers, acamedicians, scientists, recently business houses are all brahmins. The list of brahmins who sacrificed their wealth, lives for the sake of their fatherland(Pithru Bhumi) and Mother land( Mathru Bhumi) is in endless glory. The first person to fight the british in sepoy mutiny was a brahmin -mangal pandey. The first param vir chakra winner of independent India was Maj.Somnath Sharma a brahmin. The first man in space from India Sqd,Ldr. Rakesh Sharma is also a brahmin. The Noble prize winner CV Raman is also a brahmin.The first prime minister of India Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru is also a brahmin. a saying in veda goes "Dharmo Rakshitahi Rakshitaha" means the Veda will rescue those who rescues it. So, how many insults or ill feelings the whole population of India has against the brahmins because of jeleousy and other inhibitions, still a brahmin always wins.
