There's many kinds of viruses. The Trojan Horse is one.
A bug is a defect in a computer program, often described as a 'feature' by clever marketing people. The term is said to have originated in the days comes when the very first computers, huge and sprawling, filled whole floors of large buildings. It was said that a certain programmer, after slaving for hours trying to find out why his program wasn't working properly, found that a moth had got stuck inside the computer and was shorting one of the components. Bugs now usually come from oversights in the programming of software, or because not all the possible conditions of the program could be tested completely. This means that by using a piece of software long enough, you might trigger the right combination of inputs, outputs and internal conditions that might not have been anticipated by the programmers, and then the software can start to behave unpredictably. Viruses came later, and although the first one was created on an Apple Macintosh computer for the purpose of exploring the machine, most viruses today infect MS-Windows based systems. Digital viruses are similar to biological viruses in that they too are sequences of code that force bigger programs to reproduce them. Typical viruses infect executable files by placing a 'jump' instruction at the beginning of the program, and then adding their own code to the end of the file, so that when the program is run, the virus runs first, which infects memory, letting the virus infect other executable files, before jumping back to the host program itself, as if nothing had happened. It should be mentioned here that viruses may cause bugs, by making some programs on a computer unstable, but it is extremely improbable (though not impossible) that bugs may cause viruses by themselves. However, bugs often provide loopholes through which viruses can spread.
A bug is a Unintended instruction or error in the set of instructions for a computer program, for example let say that when you went to bold something in a word processor program and instead it italicized the text that would be a bug in the program.
A virus is a small program installed on your computer with out you knowing usually by unscrupulous methods that can cause may things with your computer to act strangely, erase data, collect information stored on your computer. Perform tasks on your computer that you did not initiate.
A bug in computers is an unintentional error, usually in programming. A virus in computer is a special kind of program written for a certain purpose - maybe to crash your computer, steal credit card information, or hijack your email address to send out spam.
A worm is just another type of virus. Viruses in general can do lots of different things. Worms however, are designed to spread across a computer network by exploiting security vulnerabilities in the network.
A computer virus can only be activated by running the program in which it is located, however, the computer worm will run without a program open. Therefore, a worm is worse than a virus.
Although both are malware, a computer worm is self-replicating, while a virus is not. Worms also do not need to be encrypted to a file to be spread over networks.
The key difference between a computer virus and a computer worm is that a virus cannot be spread without human action, such as you running an infected file, wheras a worm can copy itself on your system and automatically send itself without you having to run a file.
Go to www.trendmicro.com. There is a tutorial that explains what worms, trojans, viruses, spyware are.
