I've also recently had the operation. Roughly 1 in 20 Hydroceles will return following surgery (according to my surgeon) so it can happen. Unfortunately, the only way of finding out if it will return again is to try it! I'd go see a surgeon if i were you and ask if there's anyway in which the operation can be repeated differently to avoid the reoccurance of the condition. best of luck!
