But the simple microscope which has the same property (or better principle) of a magnifying glass, is fixed to a scale for adjusting through a knob. If you have ever seen a travelling microscope, you would have seen a small lens attached to the vernier scale. this is not a magnifying glass but a simple microscope with a specific/fixed magnification of the scale for eyes.
